SCOTTSDALE, Arizona – Troon, the leader in providing golf and club-related leisure and hospitality services, is pleased to announce it has been selected to manage The Salt Pond Golf Club, a daily-fee course in Bethany Beach, Delaware.
Indigo Sports, a Troon company, will oversee golf operations, agronomy, food and beverage, and sales and marketing.
“We are excited to be able to partner with the industry’s premier golf management company and look forward to working with Troon in making our member and guest experience the very best it can be,” said Phil Hamilton, president of The Salt Pond Golf Club.
Featuring a mix of par 3s and 4s, The Salt Pond Golf Club is a mid-length 18-golf course that can play from a 2,130-yard, par-54 layout to a 3,174-yard, par-61 course, depending on the set of tees selected. Designed by Rupert Smith, the course opened in 1992 and winds its way through a townhome community with ponds and natural woodlands surrounding the property.
In addition to the fun and challenging golf course, The Salt Pond has a practice range and putting green, a golf shop and Birdies Snack Bar.
“The Salt Pond is a fun layout that can be enjoyed by golfers all abilities,” said Troon Vice President of Operations Justin Smith. “We are excited to partner with The Salt Pond and look forward to elevating the experience.”
Collectively Troon, and its operating brands Troon Golf, Troon Privé and Indigo Sports, now manage 11 facilities in Delaware.
