The group features three resorts and nine courses in Florida
CENTRAL FLORIDA (June 21, 2018) – Salamander Hotels & Resorts, the hotel company founded by entrepreneur Sheila Johnson, has launched a new website and contest to promote its powerhouse trio of famed Florida golf resorts known as the Salamander Golf Collection.
The website, SalamanderGolf.com, outlines the golf-centric offerings at the famed Innisbrook Resort in Tampa Bay, elegant Reunion Resort in Orlando and oceanfront Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast. With nine courses spanning across the Sunshine State, Salamander is Florida’s largest independent golf course operator, and the new site is a testament to its investment in the game.
Visitors to SalamanderGolf.com can also register to win an “Ultimate Getaway” golf trip for two, featuring a two-night stay, dinner and breakfast at each resort, plus two rounds of golf at each property. The website features full terms and conditions.
These new initiatives launch just after Salamander’s renowned Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort hosted the Valspar Championship, an official PGA TOUR event. The March tournament was won by Englishman Paul Casey but was also notable for the runner-up finish of Tiger Woods and earning the highest TV ratings for a non-Major/Players Championship in the past five years.
The website makes it easy for golfers to view course layouts, book packages, fill out a group RFP and stay up to date with happenings at each property through #SalamanderGolf on social media.
The Salamander Golf Collection has increased its marketing and public relations presence in 2018 with partnerships with Golfweek and Fox Sports South, and media events at the PGA Merchandise Show.
One of the most storied golf resorts in America, Innisbrook Resort is situated on 900 wooded acres of rolling hills in the Tampa Bay area. In addition to its Copperhead Course, the resort also offers three other layouts: Island, North and South – all of which were designed by Larry Packard.
This past fall, the North Course was renovated, while the South Course will undergo work later this year. The property also features over 400 spacious suite-style accommodations, a Salamander Spa, six heated pools, four restaurants, three bars and over 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.
Located in Orlando, Reunion Resort is the only location in the United States with Signature golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Tom Watson.
The resort also features The Reunion Golf Academy, a FootGolf course, while work has begun on a new clubhouse at the Nicklaus Course and is slated to open in late 2018. Reunion features 350 accommodations ranging from luxury suites and condos to private 4- to 12-bedroom vacation homes, an award-winning rooftop steakhouse, and a variety of elegant indoor and numerous event spaces.
Just south of St. Augustine in Palm Coast, Hammock Beach Resort overlooks two miles of pristine shoreline. The Jack Nicklaus-designed Ocean Course, featuring six Atlantic Coast holes, was recently restored after a 13-month restoration project and reclaimed its position as one of the finest courses in the nation.
The Tom Watson-designed Conservatory Course is considered one of the toughest and longest courses in Florida. The resort includes over 300 spacious villas and suites, multiple restaurants and bars, a 6.5-acre multi-level pool complex, a spa and heated indoor pool, and over 55,000 square-feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space.
