KNOXVILLE, Tennessee – Heritage Golf Group, a leading owner and operator of private country clubs and high-end daily-fee courses across the U.S., is pleased to announce its acquisition of The Club at Gettysvue, located in Knoxville, TN.
With this latest acquisition, Heritage Golf Group strengthens its portfolio, which now includes 38 clubs spanning the eastern, central, and Rocky Mountain regions. The Club at Gettysvue marks Heritage’s first acquisition in Tennessee, advancing its growth and presence across the Southeast.
“We are thrilled to enter the Knoxville market and expand our footprint in the Southeast with The Club at Gettysvue,” said Eric Boberg, Senior Vice President of Operations, Heritage Golf Group. “This acquisition adds a unique club to our evolving portfolio, and we look forward to building upon Gettysvue’s reputation as a premier private club in Knoxville.”
The Club at Gettysvue features an 18-hole, par 72, 6,540-yard championship golf course designed by Bland Pittman. With Zoysia grass fairways and notable elevation changes, the course is seamlessly integrated into the natural landscape at the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. The club also offers a two-tiered driving range with six target greens, a full short game area, and a Trackman Golf Simulator facility.
Members can enjoy a range of instructional programs led by award-winning, PGA-certified professionals. Additional amenities include a junior Olympic-size swimming pool, five tennis courts, three pickleball courts, and a 24-hour fitness center.
Additionally, members enjoy access to an approximately 24,000 sq. ft. English-style clubhouse featuring three private dining rooms, a casual bar and grill, men’s and women’s locker rooms, and a full-service golf shop. Located only 11 miles from the University of Tennessee, the club has nurtured a longstanding relationship with the school.
“I have known Mark Burnett, CEO of Heritage Golf Group, for over 25 years and am impressed by the exceptional management team he has built. With their proven track record, I am confident that Heritage is best suited to take The Club at Gettysvue to the next level and will continue to value and support the talented team at the Club” said Todd Froehle, Managing Partner of Synergy Golf Group, Gettysvue’s previous owner.
The Heritage team, with extensive proficiency in golf club operations, continues to elevate the member experience through transforming and improving amenities, operations, and programming at recently acquired clubs.
The expanding network further enhances the value of Heritage Golf Group membership through the Heritage Plus Network—a reciprocal travel benefit that grants golf members access to other participating Heritage clubs.
