GreatLIFE Golf added five management deals in North Carolina to its portfolio in January. The management company picked up new contracts to run Sapona Golf & Swim Club, Golf Club at Chapel Ridge, The Preserve at Jordan Lake, Falls Village Golf Club, and the Heritage Club.
The story was first reported by Golf Inc. magazine.
John Brown, the CEO of GreatLIFE Golf, said that the company is making great strides since Brown Golf Management and GreatLife Golf merged in September.
“Since the merger, we have been focused on growth,” he said. “We look forward to continuing to expand GreatLIFE Golf through acquisitions, leases, and third-party management.”
Sapona Golf & Swim Club is located in Lexington, N.C., some 45 miles north of Charlotte. The club features an 18-hole golf course as well as a full-service restaurant, practice facilities, a swimming pool and more, and offers both memberships as well as daily fee golf and group packages.
The other four clubs live in the greater Raleigh area. The Heritage Club will be earmarked as one of GreatLIFE’s Signature Brand facilities — described by GreatLIFE as “[embodying] history, tradition, great amenities and dedication to a luxury experience” — and will continue to operate as a private club while the other three will offer daily fee golf in addition to memberships.
The Golf Club at Chapel Ridge, The Preserve at Jordan Lake, Falls Village Golf Club and Sapona Golf & Swim Club will operate as part of GreatLIFE’s Premier Brand, which will “[provide] classic championship golf with a supporting food & beverage offering, providing the total daily experience.”
All five courses will benefit from GolfBack, GreatLIFE’s proprietary tee time booking software, as well as new websites commensurate with the GreatLIFE experience.
