SANTA ANA, California – Cool Clubs, a Worldwide Golf brand renowned for its innovative club-fitting technology, is excited to announce a groundbreaking partnership with Sportsbox AI, a leader in 3D motion analysis technology.
The collaboration aims to revolutionize the golf club fitting experience at Worldwide Golf stores across the United States, bringing the most advanced and scientific fitting solutions to golfers.
Sportsbox AI’s cutting-edge motion analysis technology will be integrated into Cool Clubs’ already robust fitting system. The new fitting system, “Cool Clubs Tech Fit”, will combine Cool Clubs’ extensive shaft and club research and testing data alongside its proprietary software with Sportsbox AI’s precise 3D motion capture and launch monitor data.
The fusion with our industry-leading fitting personnel offers an experience that is state-of-the-art, unbiased, brand agnostic and more accurate than ever before.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Worldwide Golf to power the best, most scientific fitting experience to golfers at their stores,” said Jeehae Lee, CEO of Sportsbox AI. “Cool Clubs has been a leader in custom club fitting for decades and has technology and expertise that is trusted by the most experienced fitters and equipment manufacturers, and we are excited to be adding our motion analysis technology to elevate the fitting experience further.”
Having worked on fitting technologies for more than 30 years, Mark Timms, the founder of Cool Clubs as well as the current Chief Creative Officer at Worldwide Golf, believes the use of 3D swing data represents the most significant leap since launch monitors became commercially viable more than 25 years ago.
“AI’s effectiveness hinges on the quality of its data. With Sportsbox AI, we now have comprehensive 3D swing data and launch monitor inputs,” he said. “Our research, robotic testing, and patented S3 Machine have built the most extensive independent shaft database, featuring over 5,000 shafts and 2 billion data points, as well as a club head database derived from thousands of robot swings at varying speeds and hit locations.
“Swing data was the missing piece of the puzzle, and Sportsbox AI’s technology will enable us to determine the best clubs for different swing types.”
The integration of Sportsbox AI’s technology will commence by the end of this year, starting with Cool Clubs locations and expanding to Worldwide Golf stores. The goal is to have the new technology available in many Worldwide Golf fitting locations by the end of 2025.
“With the cutting-edge insights from Sportsbox AI and the fusion of our advanced algorithms, we’re revolutionizing the way we match golfers with the perfect shaft and head combination,” Timms said. “By rapidly sifting through our extensive shaft database with unmatched precision, our fitters can deliver faster, higher-quality fittings that elevate golfers’ game like never before.”
