SUN CITY WEST, Arizona – Briarwood Country Club has been honored by AZCentral’s 2024 Best of the Desert – West Valley community choice awards as the “Best Golf Course,” “Best Driving Range” and “Best Golf Shop.” AZCentral’s annual Best of the Desert Awards celebrate and recognize the best the community has to offer.
Nominations were sought in the first quarter of 2024 with only the top businesses in each category making it to the final voting stage. Votes were cast by AZCentral readers in April with results recently posted on AZCentral.com, the digital home of The Arizona Republic, the state’s largest newspaper.
“We are so proud to be recognized as the best golf course, driving range and golf shop in the West Valley and honored to represent our membership family and all the supportive residents of Sun City West,” said Briarwood Country Club General Manager Phil Stika.
Briarwood Country Club features an 18-hole Greg Nash-designed golf course that opened for play in 1983. In addition to golf, the member-owned club also includes a golf shop, a full-service restaurant and bar, an outdoor heated pool and locker rooms. Members also enjoy a full calendar of golf and social programs.
