ATLANTA – East Lake Golf Club has launched the next phase of renovations to the Charlie Yates Golf Course, a course owned by the historic golf club. While the construction completed in 2021 focused on enhancements to the course, this round of renovations will deliver a reimagined clubhouse.
Charlie Yates Golf Course is working in partnership with Atlanta-based club management company Bobby Jones Links and the architecture and design firm Kuo Diedrich Chi on this project to expand the food and beverage operations and to renovate the interior of the course’s clubhouse.
Work on the clubhouse is expected to take a few months and will improve overall customer experience. The renovations include major updates to the overall interior, including new flooring, paint and light fixtures, and enhancements to the furnishings, with new tables and chairs offering both indoor and outdoor seating options.
The clubhouse will also have a golf shop with refreshed merchandise and a counter to check in for tee times. In addition to the selection of canned and bottled beer and wine that’s now available to enjoy throughout the property, guests can also look forward to a new food counter and coolers available for self-serve drinks and grab-and-go snacks.
“As the main hub and gathering place at the golf course, the clubhouse is such an important part of the overall experience at Charlie Yates, which is why we’re so excited to get these renovations underway and debut a reimagined clubhouse for the next golf season,” said Cameron Lilly, general manager of Charlie Yates Golf Course.
“Kuo Diedrich Chi’s established experience with club and resort architectural design, along with Bobby Jones Links’ dedication to excellence in service, will ensure our goal of enriching the overall customer experience at Charlie Yates with the planned enhancements.”
