Wilshire Country Club to undergo multi-million dollar course renovation beginning Oct. 1
LOS ANGELES – With the crowning of 2024 champion Hannah Green – the first player to win back-to-back titles at the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro – the celebration now turns to anticipation as Wilshire Country Club undergoes a multi-million-dollar course renovation and comprehensive upgrade project beginning this fall.
As a result, Outlyr and the LPGA Tour announced that the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro will move to El Caballero Country Club in Tarzana, Calif., April 14-20, 2025.
The host for the 75th U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship in July 2024, El Caballero has previously hosted the LPGA Tour (2002-2004), won by Hall-of-Famers Seri Pak (2002) and Annika Sorenstam (2003 and 2004).

“Wilshire Country Club has been a tremendous partner for the past six years, and we are excited to follow the progress of Wilshire Country Club’s renovation project into 2025,” said Tim Erensen, managing partner for Outlyr, tournament operator for the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro.
“El Caballero Country Club has a rich history hosting premier professional and amateur golf championships, and we look forward to working with the staff and the membership at El Cabellero in putting on a world-class event in 2025,” continued Erensen.
El Caballero Country Club was host to the LPGA Tour’s Office Depot Championship from 2002-2004 and, in addition to hosting this summer’s U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship, the club held the U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship as well as U.S. Open, U.S. Amateur and U.S. Senior Open qualifiers.
As host of the U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship, El Caballero also will welcome back the winner of the U.S. Girls’ Junior in 2025. The 2024 U.S. Girls’ Junior winner will receive a sponsor exemption to compete in the 2025 JM Eagle LA Championship. In addition, the runner-up and two additional semifinalists from the U.S. Girls’ Junior will be exempt to compete in the 2025 Monday Qualifier for the JM Eagle LA Championship, taking place Monday of tournament week.
“El Caballero is honored to welcome back the LPGA Tour to the San Fernando Valley for the 2025 JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro,” said Phil Lopez, general manager of El Caballero Country Club. “With the future stars of the game competing at El Caballero this summer at the U.S. Girls’ Junior and followed by the JM Eagle LA Championship in 2025, we look forward to welcoming the most talented female golfers in the world to our club.”
Named for the creek that meanders through the San Fernando Valley property, El Caballero Country Club was designed in 1957 by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and was recently renovated by his son, Reese Jones, in 2021.
The 2024 JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro boasted one of the strongest fields of the LPGA Tour season and featured a $3.75 million purse, the largest prize fund on the LPGA Tour outside of the major championships and the CME Group Tour Championship.
