Tournament will bring together over 500 players worldwide to test their skills in a series of three competitive putting events
JUPITER, Florida – PopStroke Entertainment Group officially announced the highly anticipated dates for the second edition of the PopStroke Tour Championship (PTC), presented by TaylorMade. The Championship weekend will kick off on Saturday, Nov. 11, at PopStroke’s newest venue in Scottsdale, Arizona, which is set to open later this summer.
This exhilarating tournament will bring together over 500 players worldwide to test their skills in a series of three competitive putting events, competing for a $1.1 million cumulative purse with $500,000 going to the first-place winner.
The Team Championship competition will have a maximum of 200 teams (400 players) competing in a four-round match for a $100,000 prize purse. The Race to PTC competition will feature the top 30 putters from the PopStroke Tour Series season to play in a three-round event for the chance to be crowned “Best Putter of the Year.”
“We are thrilled to announce the return of this highly anticipated competition and welcome the best putters in the world to compete at PopStroke alongside one of the world’s best players, Collin Morikawa. The PopStroke Tour Championship was conceived with the belief that players regardless of their skill, age, or gender, can engage in head-to-head competition and have the opportunity to earn professional-level cash prizes,” said Greg Bartoli, CEO and Founder of PopStroke.
“We are honored to have TaylorMade join us once again as the presenting sponsor, sharing our vision of bringing the game of golf to a broader and more diverse audience.”
The pinnacle of the weekend will be the premier High Roller Event on Nov. 12, where up to 100 players will face off against five-time PGA Tour winner and two-time major champion Collin Morikawa in a three-round individual stroke play match for the chance to get a piece of the $1 million prize purse.
“We can’t wait to experience the excitement of the second annual PopStroke Tour Championship. Furthermore, we are strengthening our ties by bringing Team TaylorMade athlete Collin Morikawa into the fold. The high level of competition and addition of Collin will make it a memorable event for everyone involved,” said David Abeles, TaylorMade President and CEO.
