Concert Golf Partners has acquired two additional clubs in the Midwest — The Sagamore Club in Noblesville, Indiana, and The Players Club at Deer Creek in Omaha, Nebraska. The clubs were purchased in an all-cash transaction that closed in four months.
The purchase was reported recently in Golf Inc. magazine.
Concert Golf acquired Glen Oaks Country Club in Des Moines, Iowa, in January.
Concert Golf Partners, a boutique owner-operator of 25 private golf and country clubs, was formed by CEO Peter Nanula, the CEO of Arnold Palmer Golf Management in the 1990s.
Concert has amassed $250 million in long-term equity capital to invest in and upgrade large-scale private clubs located in major metro areas.
The acquisition adds another Jack Nicklaus Signature course (Sagamore Club) and a highly ranked Arnold Palmer design (Players Club) to Concert Golf’s collection of upscale private clubs, which now numbers 25.
“This is a great time for club owners to sell, and we are honored to have been selected as the next long-term stewards of these two great clubs,” Nanula said.
“We’re continuing to see owners who are seeking to put their club into good hands for the next chapter of the club’s history; price is almost never the primary concern, but rather the confidence that the new owner will continue to deliver great member experiences and provide training and growth opportunities to the staff.”
Many capital projects are planned at both properties including new indoor golf simulators, golf course enhancements and more.
Concert Golf has now acquired four private clubs in four months, with another club acquisition scheduled to close in the next 30-60 days, according to a press release.
