PEBBLE BEACH, California – Youth on Course, the non-profit organization dedicated to opening doors of opportunity to young people and transforming their lives on and off the golf course, has partnered with Indiana Golf to expand affordable and accessible golf and personal growth opportunities to youth across the state of Indiana.
Kids ages 6-18 can play at 10 golf courses in the state, and nearly 2,000 others across the U.S. and Canada, for $5 or less.
“Playing sports positively impacts kids’ lives in so many ways and we’re thrilled to be expanding affordable access to golf in partnership with our friends at Indiana Golf” says Michael Lowe, vice president of programs for Youth on Course. “Every child should have the opportunity to develop through sports and Youth on Course ensures that’s the case in golf by changing the economics of the sport for families.”
The program is launching in Indianapolis, Franklin, and Greenwood and three other cities in partnership with golf courses who have committed to helping grow the game by opening their doors to Youth on Course members.
Youth on Course continues to prioritize creating an inviting and inclusive environment in golf by providing its more than 130,000 members with affordable access to golf along with scholarship opportunities and first-time work experience through its internship and caddie programs.
By joining Youth on Course, kids and teens ages 6-18 have access to play rounds of golf for $5 or less at nearly 2,000 golf courses across the U.S. and Canada, membership in their local golf association, a free subscription to GolfPass Video and online tee time booking powered by GolfNow.
“This program provides so many exciting opportunities for junior golfers to have access to our sport,” says Autumn Strong, assistant executive director for Indiana Golf. “Youth on Course has shown that by giving kids more opportunities to experience and play golf, they’ll have more chances to learn lessons that can help make them better people. We are excited to join their efforts to grow the game, as we feel this partnership is a perfect addition to our existing junior golf initiatives.
