The union will promote employment opportunities and paths to PGA membership for women in the golf industry
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Florida – PGA Career Services and FORE HIRE announced recently a strategic partnership that will directly connect interested and diversified female job candidates to employment opportunities within the golf industry.
PGA Career Services and FORE HIRE will use their respective resources to help identify qualified, diverse women candidates, educate them on employment opportunities, and then help them find positions that will develop their strengths and interests in an industry that provides for more than 2 million jobs.
In addition, the candidates will learn about the paths to PGA Membership from the PGA Career Services recruitment team, who are available to connect individuals with job opportunities across the industry. Candidates interested in learning more about immediate openings and opportunities are urged to visit jobs.pga.org or contact recruiting@pga.com.
FORE HIRE, led by President and Founder Courtney Swaim Trimble, is an organization that educates, guides, and inspires both former and current college golfers who are looking to transition into successful careers in the business world. Its latest mission, the Women FORE HIRE Initiative, empowers women by creating a diverse pipeline of talent that connects directly to companies throughout the golf industry and beyond.
“We’re thrilled to partner with FORE HIRE, to connect people who are interested in a career in golf, as well as the lifelong journey of becoming and developing skills as a PGA Member,” said PGA of America President Jim Richerson. “We look forward to working with candidates and presenting them with the many opportunities across our $84 billion golf industry.”
“This partnership is going to help a lot of women, and I’m thrilled that we’ve joined forces,” Trimble said. “PGA Career Services has been actively recruiting outstanding candidates for a long time, and I look forward to continuing to help find ways to bring more diversity into the golf industry.”
